"You can’t just buy a mechanical gauge, run it in the hole and read it with traditional techniques—it simply won't work at temperatures above 500°F.
However, you can get one of the thousands of mechanical gauges, no longer used, have Computatestmaintain it, and run it over 700°F for up to fifteen days."
Computatest
will prepare your new or used gauges and clocks for use at high temperature. Each gauge, whether new or used, takes about twelve hours and each clock
around five hours. All wetted parts meet, or exceed,
ANSI/NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 specifications for corrosive wellbore
media. For service requests, send an email with the Contact Page.
